Bespoke Home Office

When planning a new bedroom set or home office, we design furniture that will be a part of a home for years to come. Building bespoke furniture means we cater to each customer’s exact needs, turning a functional object that’s used each day into something that has a positive impact. Having the customer at the heart of each build, each project is unique. When we design for customers with specific accessibility needs, we know that getting it right can make a world of difference.

Our bespoke builds can correspond to Universal Design, the concept of designing all products to be usable to the greatest extent possible by everyone, regardless of age or ability.

Bedroom Design

Setting wardrobe rails at a convenient height is an important early decision when designing a wardrobe - there’s no point us designing a beautiful wardrobe if the client can’t reach their clothes! We put in the railing at a comfortable height and can add a secondary pull-down pole for extra clothes space

We’re often challenged with making the most of a small space, so we are masters at making every inch count. When measuring up, we can make sure to account for enough space in the bedroom to turn a wheelchair around. Using techniques such as sliding doors instead of hinged doors and slim-fit designs.

Choosing doorknobs might seem like a purely aesthetic decision, however not all handles are suitable for all types of manual dexterity or strength. Offering a wide range of options and making everything we do customisable means that we can cater to all abilities.

Home Office Design

If you work from home then you have the luxury of not having to put up with regulation desks and chairs – you can have something that suits your style and needs perfectly. Our hand built home offices and studies can incorporate a range of features to increase accessibility.

Desks can be tall and wide enough to comfortably use with a wheelchair or have soft edges to reduce any bumps for those with mobility problems. Just like the aforementioned doorknobs, we have a wide range of handles for drawers – which can be designed to be easy open and close.

Pop-up power points make accessing plugs for your office essentials so much easier than wall mounted sockets and don’t have trailing cables like extension leads. The pop-up plug sockets can be hidden away when not needed, keeping your study looking tidy.
