5 Reasons to Love Hinged Wardrobe Doors

Posted on 27/07/2016

Over the 30 years we’ve been in the bespoke wardrobe business, we’ve installed fitted furniture into all sorts of spaces across the East of England. Hinged wardrobe doors are always popular and with good reason. Here are five reasons why we love hinged wardrobe doors (and you should too!)

Fitted hinged wardrobes in a cream coloured bedroom

1. You can see inside your whole wardrobe at once.

Can’t decide what goes with your new top? With hinged wardrobe doors you can see into your whole wardrobe and get an overview of all the clothes and shoes you own.

2. They fit into those awkward spaces.

The steeply sloping ceilings of attic spaces and other awkward room lines mean that sliding doors are not always feasible. Hinged doors can open up those corners that might otherwise be wasted, reducing ‘dead space’ in your home.

3. You get a few hidden extras.

With a hinged door you can choose to have a ‘hidden’ mirror (or a poster of your favourite boyband) on the inside of the door, giving your wardrobe extra functionality.

4. They’re easy to clean.

Over time, clothing fibres and dust can build up in the bottom of a wardrobe. With hinged doors wide open, it’s easy to get the hoover in.

5. They suit a wide range of interior design styles.

Hinged wardrobe doors are incredibly versatile and can suit any and all tastes. Sliding wardrobe doors have a modern edge, but hinged doors can be both modern and traditional – and simply changing the door handles can be enough to switch up their style.

At Mirror Image, we build and install fitted wardrobes that are custom made to fit your space.
